On My
Mind….by Mindy
As you return
to your school and get “back into the swing of
things,” I hope that you have some great ARTS
experiences to reflect upon from the summer.
I know I do! The
arts enrich our lives all year long but I seem to find
more time in the summer to soak them in.
I am blessed to live about five minutes away from
SPAC and this year I enjoyed the Ballet and the
Philadelphia Orchestra, along with other concerts.
Whenever I’m relaxed on the lawn, looking at the
stars and listening to the Orchestra, I always think to
myself, “Why don’t I do this more often?”
I hope you’ll
join with me this year as I commit
to myself to find more time to take in the arts and use
them in a meaningful way in our schools!
The music, the dancing & theater, the visual
arts all stimulate us and make us more creative, more
thoughtful, and more HUMAN.
I hope we all make a concerted effort to treat
ourselves and our children well, and seek out the arts to
enrich curriculum whenever possible this year.
